Lea Moalemi, Esq.

        After graduating from Hofstra University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Rhetorical Studies, Legal Studies in Business and Fine Arts in 2015, Lea Moalemi attended and graduated from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2018 where she received her Juris Doctorate Degree with a Certificate of Study in Family Law and then passed the February 2019 New York State Bar Exam.
 

        At Hofstra Law, Lea served as the Executive Research Editor for the Family Court Review Law Journal, the Vice President of the Family Law Society, and Senator for the Hofstra Law Student Bar Association.

While being a member of the Family court Review Law Journal, her article titled: BLOOD WILL NOT JUSTIFY MY RELATION: SAME-SEX COUPLES AND THEIR BATTLE FOR STANDING AS DE FACTO PARENTS was published in the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts quarterly publication in July of 2018.  

        Lea has always been devoted to and passionate about the law and started working in the legal field at the age of 17. Her focus throughout law school was matrimonial law, personal injury and medical malpractice where she interned for a Supreme Court Judge at the Nassau County Supreme Court Matrimonial Center and clerked at various renowned matrimonial, personal injury and medical malpractice law firms in Long Island.
 

       She also earned her certification in divorce and family mediation while attending Hofstra Law. Lea is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association; NCBA Matrimonial Committee; Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Committee.
